23 students completed NORHEART’s Introductory Course to Cardiovascular Research and Medicine in Oslo 17–21 October. As usual, the popular course was fully booked.

The course provides an overview of common cardiac diseases. During the five-day course, the students heard lectures from more than 20 leading scientists. After the talks, the students had time to discuss with the lecturers. The students are also gave presentations of their own projects.

The course has been arranged almost yearly since 2013, and highlights pathophysiology, clinical characteristics and therapeutic strategies. A special focus is given to all manifestations of acute and chronic ischemic heart disease, ranging from atherosclerosis to ischemic heart failure.
