NORHEART – The Norwegian School of Heart Research
NORHEART is a national education network for collaborative education of PhD students within cardiovascular research in Norway financed by The Research Council of Norway.
NORHEART is initiated, organized and run by cardiovascular scientists.
NORHEART is organized as a collaborative network with local nuclei in all university regions:
NORHEART events are continuously evolving to promote ongoing and future projects. Therefore all events are based on suggestions and initiatives from active scientists.
NORHEART aims to:
- promote international quality in Norwegian cardiovascular research;
- improve the efficiency of PhD execution for candidates within the cardiovascular field;
- improve the career opportunities for PhD candidates;
- strengthen national research networks, comprising research groups based in Universities and University Hospitals as well as University Colleges and local hospitals.
