The Norwegian Health Assocation has chosen professor Thor Edvardsen as the winner of the prestigious Hjerteforskningsprisen (the Heart Research Award) for 2021.

Edvardsen is Director of the department of Cardiology at Oslo University Hospital in Norway, and a professor at the Institute of Clinical Medicine at the University of Oslo.

His main research focus is cardiac imaging, aiming to develop new tools for detecting and treating cardiovascular diseases. Read more about the award on the Norwegian Health Association’s website.
