The NORHEART course Imaging in Cardiac Research was arranged in cooperation with the University of Bergen in March. Fifteen PhD students from all over Norway were gathered for an interactive course covering a wide range imaging methods used in cardiovascular research.

Lectures were given by national experts in cardiovascular imaging. The first day of the course was devoted to the basic principles of cardiovascular imaging, whereas the following days focused on imaging of cardiac function and disease. This year’s keynote speaker was Professor David Newby from the University of Edinburgh who gave an excellent overview of Cardiac CT and advanced cardiac imaging methods.

The social program was very popular with networking, good food and a shuffle board tournament. The full program can be found here.
